BP bumper profits from Iran war as workers brace for living costs surge
Commenting on BP’s quarter one profits, Unite general secretary Sharon Graham said:
“As the public braces for a surge in living costs, with families worried about how they will pay their bills and put food on the table, BP is raking in massive profits.
“Everyday people must not be made to pay the price for yet another energy price hike while oil giants laugh all the way to the bank.
“Ministers must take steps to halt unfettered profiteering now while there is still time to stop it hurting working people.”
