Unite Legal Services has secured more than £1 million in compensation for a Unite member, who was seriously injured in a road traffic collision in 2014.
The defendant was uninsured, however, Unite Legal Services successfully secured compensation for the member through the Motor Insurer’s Bureau, which will be used to meet his care needs for the rest of his life.
Following his accident, the member needed extensive rehabilitation and care. His condition was assessed by numerous medical, care, accommodation, architectural and financial experts, all of which was possible as a result of the funding provided through his Unite membership.
Unite Legal Services secured compensation exceeding £1 million for the member in addition to payments he will receive every year for the rest of his life, which will go towards his care needs.
Thanks to his Unite membership, the injured member received 100 per cent of his compensation with no deductions for fees. Had the member instructed alternative solicitors, he could have lost up to 25 per cent of the compensation secured for his injuries and past losses to pay his legal fees, highlighting the benefits of making a claim through Unite Legal Services.
