Unite Legal Services has won compensation for local authority worker, Jon F*,  who was injured during the course of his employment. 

The member was working as a bin lorry loader and was disembarking the lorry when the driver pulled off too quickly. As a result, one of the lorry wheels ran over the member’s foot. He suffered a severe soft tissue injury and pain for a number of months following the incident. 

The injury was caused by the negligence of a fellow employee, for which the employer was vicariously liable.
